Make these prompts better: add a context block

Every prompt above improves when you paste a short context block first: who you are, your company, your audience, your style. Write it once and reuse it. See how to move context between AI tools.

Where to save your prompts

  • Inside your AI tool: custom instructions, projects or custom assistants. Great for one tool.
  • A document or notes app: simple and shareable.
  • A text expander: type ;sum and get the full prompt.
  • A clipboard manager with pins: paste into any app or AI tool. In Clipster, for example, you can keep a "Prompts" Pin on Windows, Mac and iPhone, synced with end-to-end encryption.

FAQ

Do these prompts work in Claude, Gemini and Grok too?

Yes. They're plain instructions, not tied to one product. Results vary by model, so tweak the wording.

Why use brackets?

They mark what to replace each time. Keeping the rest identical makes results more consistent.

Should I tell the AI my role?

Yes. A short context block about your role and audience is the single biggest improvement for most prompts.

Can I use these prompts with company data?

Only in AI tools your organization has approved, and in line with its data rules.

How many prompts should I save?

Start with the five you'd use weekly. A small library you actually use beats a big one you never open.

Disclosure: We make Clipster, which can keep prompts in Pins. These prompts work in any AI assistant and with any way of saving them.
